Hello everyone!
The time of Christmas fast approaches (much faster than I’m comfortable with!). There’s been loads of work going on with Scuba Santas behind the scenes so much that the keen eye’d of you guys will have noticed there was no October newsletter!
The first big change is that we’ve got a whole new set of Scuba Santas images. These will be going up slowly across all the scuba santas locations. Once everything is in place we’ll officially launch it and give thank yous to everyone involved. Please get in touch with us and let us know what you think!
Secondly prizes are starting to roll in for the event. The two big ones to mention are Aquapac who have donated over £400 worth of waterproof mobile phone cases, and the excellent Scimitar Diving in Portland who have donated an entire weekends diving with air/nitrox thrown in for two lucky divers!
If you know of any companies would like to support the event please give them our contact details and point them towards our sponsorship packages, its all going to a very good cause! http://www.scuba-santas.co.uk/324/324/
We’ve also got our event poster available on the website, please download and place it everywhere divers are likely to see it, spread the word and help make a great event even bigger and better! http://www.scuba-santas.co.uk/events/2010-event/sponsorship-forms-and-event-poster/
The sponsorship form is very near completion, in the meantime its possible to make a donation via our justgiving page. http://www.justgiving.com/scubasantas2010.
T-shirts: A quick poll, would you like a scuba santas polo t-shirt to celebrate attending the event? We’re looking at getting these produced, cost would be between £10-£15 with all profits going to the RNLI. Good quality polo shirts with the scuba santas logo, showing your support for the event and the RNLI long after christmas is over. If you’d be interested please register your interest via info@scuba-santas.co.uk. If there is sufficient interest we’ll get some made up to display on the day and then take orders from attendees!
We’d also like to thank the Trowbridge branch of the RNLI who will be at the event to lend a hand a provide information on the excellent work that the RNLI perform all around the UK coast line.
Lastly, don’t forget to register for the event at http://event.scuba-santas.co.uk. We’re looking forward to breaking our world record for the 4th year running at Vobster Quay on the 19th December 2010!
Phew, that’s enough for this month…
Merry Christmas one and all, please keep in touch!
