Scuba Diving Dressed As Santa Claus For Charity

Newsletter September 2010

Ho-ho-ho everyone,

August was another busy month for Scuba Santas. Main activities were a visit to the South West Dive Show to talk to various companies and a big push to get the corporate sponsorship packages finalised and sent out.

The corporate sponsorship packages are in order to get some mementos of the day for all divers and to help business get their products out to a bigger audience – and also to show what nice people they are!.

By growing the event we raise more money for the RNLI so please help in any way you can! If you are aware of a company that would be willing to help with sponsorship please forward their contact details to info@scuba-santas.co.uk.

Registration for the event is steadily growing @ http://event.scuba-santas.co.uk/. Remember registration is the only way to guarantee that you’ll get event mementos!*

We’re still a few months out, in fact the site tells me its 107 days, but its looking great for the 19th December @ Vobster Quay!

Don’t be afraid to get in touch!

Merry Christmas and safe diving,

Lloyd Watkin
Scuba Santas Organiser

* Corporate sponsorship required though :)

Newsletter August 2010

Hi everyone,
A quick update as we’re still a good while away. We currently have 20 divers registered for Scuba Santas 2010 via the site twitter, or via the website. Merry Christmas, Lloyd Scuba Santas Organiser” target=”_blank”>http://event.scuba-santas.co.uk, which for this far out is a good number (remember we need to beat 158 for a new WORLD RECORD!).
Registration for the event is not required but it certainly makes our administration much easier on the day. On top of that it will help the event gain more corporate sponsorship if we can demonstrate a good attendance.
The best place for event news is either via the website http://www.scuba-santas.co.uk, or via our twitter feed http://www.twitter.com/scubasantas. Please link to us via your website!
This year we’re hoping to get some momentos of the day starting with t-shirts, this is dependent on getting corporate sponsorship. Emails will be going out to businesses soon and I’ll pass the email to attendees also so they can all spread the word.
The target for sponsorship is £15,000 for crew training @ the RNLI. Given the growth from previous years this is entirely possible. Our justgiving page is up at http://www.justgiving.com/scubasantas2010, and we’ll get some sponsorship forms out fairly soon.
In the mean time do not hesitate to get in touch via facebook, twitter, or via the website.
Merry Christmas,
Lloyd
